Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently looking for a Operations Manager to join our Operation Management team in our ON office.

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager reports to the Regional Director. The candidate will assist Regional Director to manage Warehouse and office daily operations including HR and people development, budgetary, planning, administration and warehouse operations to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; controlling correspondence, preparing office supply and equipment requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions; liaise with other dept. and head office and maintain office / warehouse equipment
  • Supervise office and warehouse staff; assign and monitor office administrative functions; recruit and select warehouse and office staff; orient and train employees, coaching and disciplining staff
  • Lead and supervise warehouse operation with the team of supervisors, drivers and pickers of inbound / outbound logistics
  • Achieves warehouse operations operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.
  • Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.
  • Maintain office records and ensure filing systems are maintained up to date
  • Plan and implement office system, layout and equipment procurement
  • Lead, supervise team to cope with QA to ensure operation standard and procedure are met with company policy and their audit, provide corrective action plan and execution in complaisance of SOP

Requirements / Must-Haves:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in business / operation / supply chain management or related field
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting and cost control
  • 5+ years office, warehouse and logistics experience, including warehouse management capacity
  • CPG and Food distribution experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of warehouse operation, handling and shipping requirements and regulations
  • Demonstrated continuous process workflow improvements – Knowledge of food safety issues, safe operating practices and regulations
  • Experience with APPAC /WMS systems.
  • Proven leadership skills and great analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, speaking & writing)
  • Reliable, accountable and trust-worthy

Assets/ Nice-to-Haves:

  • Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (French and English)
