Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. To fulfill our operational needs, we are currently recruiting a 5-Ton Truck Delivery Driver with a Class 5 Driver’s License to make local deliveries for our BC division.

Position Summary:

We are currently recruiting a 5-Ton Truck Delivery Driver with a Class 5 Driver’s License to make local deliveries for our BC division. The role involves frequent movement and lifting, and the driver will operate a 5-ton truck to deliver goods to restaurants and retail stores.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday (Weekend required if needed)
  • 40 hours per week between 7:00am to 6:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Operate 5-ton straight truck in accordance to company’s delivery standard operating procedures and the Motor Vehicle Act.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles before departing to deliver goods.
  • Pack and load products onto trucks according to the company’s specifications.
  • Deliver orders to customers, including restaurants and retail stores, on assigned routes.
  • Unload goods as per client specifications; all goods must be delivered inside business premises.
  • Move objects using a power jack tool.
  • Obtain delivery confirmations/signatures from each customer.
  • Check inventory against invoices with customers.
  • Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs.
  • Collect cash, cheques, or CODs when required.

Requirements/ Must-Haves:

  • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Related delivery experience.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to drive a commercial truck and operate a lift gate.
  • Able to work on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Conversational English Skills.

Assets/ Nice-to-Haves:

  • At least 2 years of experience operating 5-ton trucks
  • Previous experience using electric power jacks

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Expected Hourly Wage: $19.47 to $27.30
  • Disclosure Statements: A candidate’s experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position.
